It's the music review. Boring today: albums everybody has, i.e. Arcade Fire's Funeral and Neon Bible, ideal for a Canadian Studies conference. What can I say that hasn't already been said? Some of it's a bit gloomy and self-important, some of it's thrilling. I quite like gloomy, can be self-important, am rarely thrilling. Essentially, I sometimes like Arcade Fire and sometimes want to play this or this instead. But most of the time Arcade Fire's love of melodeons, a Manichaean outlook and big tunes suits me very well.
This one does it for me, and the second one is painfully accurate when it comes to my dancing.
